Scientific infographics for DesFutur

Design and illustration of a series of scientific infographics for DesFutur, a research project led by the University of Córdoba. DesFutur aims to characterize the dynamics of three key factors in the desertification processes of arid environments in southeastern Spain: forest decline, wildfires, and biological invasions.

As part of the project’s outreach activities, five infographic posters were developed to explain its objectives, methodology, lines of research, and main results:

1/ Project overview and summary

2/ Working methodology and actions undertaken

3/ Forest fires

4/ Invasive species

5/ Forest decline

The project involved extensive work in documentation, analysis and content prioritization, visual conceptualization, design, and scientific illustration. The goal was to transform highly technical and specialized information into a series of visually coherent, rigorous, and accessible pieces for audiences with varying levels of knowledge.
